January birthdays fete

With four January birthdays in the family, Mary Grace decided to throw one big party. As you know from Thanksgiving, their house is well suited to serving a crowd. So for the first time, all the Patricks and McNeils got together. Of course Candy and Lucy were included in the McNeil family. It was a lot of fun. They are such a lucky couple to have two big families who love them so much.

 

They are a great team in the kitchen. We had regular chili they made and chicken quinoa chili Sophie made. Both were very good. The lighter chicken choice was amazing. Joan brought a big salad and I made cake at Ryan's request.

Birthday babies 87, 29, 38. One of these people received 40 cards. Guess who!

 

Ryan's dad Mac was not happy about his 0 birthday. Jan forced him into the picture.

 

 

Brody entertained us. David was soothing him by playing rock and roll on his cell phone in his pocket. He had to keep moving in time to James Brown, Michael Jackson, etc.

Hey , remember my juicer from New Orleans. It is great. Here it is flavoring my tilapia tonight. Now that I know the true tilapia story this may be my last bag. :/  If you don't know about Chinese farm-raised tilapia then ignorance is bliss.
