Easter

So happy Cary and kids are here and came to Broadmeadow.

Altar by Becky and I.

Headed to S&P’s for lunch.

Beautiful flowers.

Herbs headed to her garden rounded it out.

Precious things everywhere.

Ridiculous amount of food. But there were 15 of us.

My plate. Dab of everything.

Paul ‘s mom and grandmother joined us.

Terrible pictures.

The kids were excited to start the egg hunt. So fun.

Creative hiding.

Had fun Good Friday with Amy2 and MG at Old Capitol Inn courtyard. We were the only people in the courtyard.  Gorgeous weather to enjoy.

Great Aunt Easter

Since I have no grandkids I really loved filling eggs for great nephew and nieces who are coming to visit.

I kept going up and down the candy aisle wishing I needed some. So cute.

Stuffed and ready.

One more pic that Jan took.

Headed home

Headed home in time to catch the St. C’s Easter program. See anyone you know?

Yep here she is next to friend Nora. The ladies donned hats while singing the song In Your Easter Bonnet!!

We were so proud.

Lafayette 24-4 swamp tour

Pulled up to the Swamp Tour place with much excitement.

This is in Hendersonville on the Atchafalaya basin.

Got all dressed up.

Captain Cal was great.

You had to wear hearing protection from the airboat propeller. The couple in front were from Poland and behind us a lady from France!

It was breathtaking.

We stopped and the captain slapped the water with a paddle. He called to the alligators in French. And they came! This one was Suzette.

She came right up to the boat and he patted her head.

This big one was Hercules. No petting for him.

Then he took us to see a mama gator.

Look close and you can see her babies all over and around her.

Had to try this place on the Amy Bayou.

Seafood gumbo.

Lafayette 24 - 3

Ok let’s go.

So beautiful.

How to lay them out.

Digging in.

As they say here. Pinch.  Twist. Suck.

Lafayette 24 - 2

Ryan picked up donuts and kolaches. Kolaches are dough wrapped around meat. We got sausages and ham + jalapeƱos

Our old friend was here and dolled up for Mardi Gras.

Lunch at this cute gas station turned restaurant.

We had to wait for a table but Ryan provided refreshments.

Everything was so cute.

Look at those columns and stone.

Fish tacos please.

Then we walked it off downtown.

Precious book store.

Miss Kitty was waiting at home.

MG and I resting while Ivy and the boys get crawfish for dinner. More later!!!
