Caterpillar

Clinton is having a spring event.

There will be a caterpillar parade based on the book The Very Hungry Caterpillar.

The asked merchants to decorate their store fronts.

I can’t resist a challenge. I decided to make out of tissue paper and vinyl tablecloths so light can come through and it will look like the torn paper pictures in the book.

It worked great. Light comes in from outside.

It looks good outside too. At night it will be the reverse. Hope it does well in the contest.

Palm Sunday

I always love Palm Sunday. All the children waving palms.

Pulled out some old favorites.

Egg hunt followed.

They patiently ate lunch first.

Pizza Shack pitched in.

Cute babies.

That face.

Eggs everywhere.

This wind proofer was so clever.

On another Easter note...everyone was so generous with the Children’s Emergency Shelter baskets

So cute. Delivered them to grateful staff.

Almost done

My sweet client Connie looking at her new floor.

I’ll post better pics when complete.

Oh, and I made perfect cornbread. Somehow finally got it right.

Book Club at Bev’s. She greeted us with zinnias and bubble wands.

Her centerpiece made me nostalgic when I saw the eggs we made years ago. Where did we get the energy?

Beautiful salmon baked in packets with asparagus. Smashed potatoes, bread with Amish butter 😋 and key lime pie with blackberries. We loved the book , Wonder.

Broke out the bubbles.

We had so much fun. Neighbors must have thought that the old ladies had been hitting the wine. Ok we had but that had nothing to do with this fun!

Another older lady enjoyed it too. Note her favorite ball there.

Bubbles everywhere, Abby.

Stopped at the Patrick’s where this was developing. Lights over the future deck area.

Unexpected pocket of fun

These two talked me into accompanying them to visit the new store in Canton. We started with lunch on the square. This little sports bar allowed us to have lunch on their balcony. It was covered in pollen and dust from the winter but the sweetly cleaned it up for us.

What a pretty day. 2 Amys.

It really is a lovely town. That is Farmhouse in aqua paint. Amy and MG were not as impressed as Vick and I were. They aren’t big “stuff” collectors.

Found a creepy doll picture for Bev. This boy was life size. Yikes.

Mary Grace made a St. Patrick’s Day lunch for us on Sunday. Mom took some home for a corned beef on rye sandwich tomorrow.  She said she can’t wait.

Catching up

Church work day. Getting the courtyard ready.

It looked worse before it got better.

Cute Kathy.

Our youngest member came with Mom and sisters to bring us donuts.

I probably should be embarrassed.

But with my post work day ( and I was sore) and lumberjack appetite , I succumbed to fried bologna sandwiches.

Catfish circling the dock.

Beggars society.

Tile going up in my client’s kitchen reno. I’ll post before and after when it’s done.

Vick and I spent a day shopping for her house. We fell in love with this new store in Canton, Farmhouse.

Got this got the breakfast table.

New things for the mantel. Not quite finished.

She thanked me with a pig

Afterward we celebrated her birthday again at Bacchus with a chocolate banana cake. Maybe 60 is ok after all.
