After a scary half a night in the ER to control Mom’s blood pressure, we got to have a sleep over. St. C’s let me stay with Mom. Bitsy was a bit confused but happy we were there.

Look at her cute spots.

Found Sandy like this.

Something was interfering with my sugar free ice cream enjoyment.

Now I know why they call it cast iron plant.

We used to call it Truffles clubhouse.

These two have beaten the clubhouse down a bit.

How about this black mushroom?

I think it’s just an aged one.

Vick’s kitty had a litter of precious babies.

Mom is so sweet.

Coco in Ed’s chair.

Sweepy girl.

I used to give Truffles carrots to chew. Coco just shreds them and doesn’t eat them. I guess I don’t need a grater after all.

Oven barbecued chicken and vegs.

New toys

First , here’s my sweet little friend, Armani. Coco has gotten so big compared to him.

Brought home some new toys.

I know from experience with my kids to buy 2 toys. However this doesn’t work with puppies.

You can see how well that worked out. The only one they want is the one in the other one’s mouth.

And you can see what Junior thinks of it all.

Trametes versicolor. Chris identified it without even consulting the book.

Haven’t quite nailed this one down. They were all on a dead branch that fell.

We got some snow.

Dogs liked it. Sandy enjoyed eating it.

Lil pig in snow blanket.

Baked Paul a cake for his birthday. Peanut butter.

In dog news , Juju thinks they are ridiculous.

My glasses were a puppy casualty.

So my usually well decorated mantel has become a place to keep things away from dogs.

Wood management

Our dogs are lucky to live in a big wooded backyard.

But with that and a dad who loves to build lovely fires for us, comes great responsibility. Here they are “helping”.

They do keep Ed company. Still miss the best yard companion, Truffles.

This is what our back porch looks like most of the time. Looks like we have beavers for pets.

Look what my thoughtful Godson, Chris, gave me for Christmas. We share a love for mushrooms.

It’s a little cold for many to grow now so I’ve been enjoying looking at every beautiful page.

Of course a sleeping picture.  Hard to get one any other time. Can’t make heads or tails of this one.

Critters in the night

So... Ed had been watching a softball sized hole beside the top of the driveway. He would cover it with leaves and they would be moved by morning. What else would you do but set up a trail cam with night vision?

What do you think it was??

A bunny. In case you can’t see it like my friend Matthew, I have enhanced it for you.

Helpful?

How about a few dog pictures?

Sleeping cheek to cheek.

Big bed little dog. Little bed big dog. I should write a Dr Suess book.

Also , should I replace these?
