Nut case book case?

I have always kept little things to remember the past. I guess you could say I’m a hoarder on a miniature scale. At least it is harnessed within the confines of a book case.

This started it. I took the picture to ask Mom about this little giraffe. I know it came from her mom’s house but I didn’t know much else. Maybe it was Jack’s.

I thought y’all might like a look at my treasures. From the first single I every owned ( Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond) to the clear bottle that Mamaw Ellis used as a rolling pin.

My rubber eraser collection that was amazing at the time. They were relatively expensive and could only be bought at Houck’s or the Playpen. Below is the lovely Christmas pig I selected as a gift for Mamaw Brown.

This side is more of Ed and my memories.

Zeroed in on all 3 bouttenieres from the girl’s wedding.

Check out the WWII game of dad’s. Mom collected the little turtle shell.

Beach finds.

Here’s the whole picture. Ask me if you want to know about anything else. And, Mom, how about that giraffe?

Made some Mexican street with leftover corn on the cob.

Chris brought me some beautiful okra.

Was shocked by how quickly these popped up.

I think it is honeycomb fungus.

Checking sister’s ears.

After some rain we had a few shrooms. This ugly little guy looks like he is angry.

I touched it with my toe and it was mushy inside.

This was almost clear.

I always love the little orange ones. This one is wearing a leaf hat.

Someone had been chomping on this one.

Saw this little sleepy guy at the pool.

Back from beach week and happy to see our girls (dog ones).

They were exhausted after being in jail for 11 days.

Look at those little feet propped up.

Crazy storm blew through and trashed our yard.

It’s taken Ed many mornings cleaning up.

Was surprised to get this in the mail.

Karis had given it to me at the beach and the girls loved him to death…literally. I told Cary it was totally fine.

I told them these girls would like to get a hold of it too.

Sandy can almost taste it.

How perfect is this for summer?  Eggplant casserole, poppyseed chicken with no poppyseeds, cabbage and perfect tomato

Fudgesicle begging.

They get to lick the stick.

Ellis Beach Week

I was given the important task of transporting the St. C’s cookies to the beach. We even transported the Mamaw as well. Had a nice ride down with lunch break in Hattiesburg. Crescent City Grill kicked off the week with shrimp poboys and gumbo.

We arrived to 3 days of gorgeous sun.

A bit of rain rolled in but with Bloody Mary in hand and puzzle on the table we made the best of it.

Ryan helped me with lunch and dinner one night.

Tripp and Ivy came on Tuesday.

A little reading during the rain.

Sweet great nieces.

Got a cute tropical set up for my birthday.

I wanted homemade ice cream for my birthday.

Rain please go away.

Karis and Whitney came over.

I was happy.

Everybody loved the ice cream. We must make that a tradition.

Ivy brought necklaces for the kids.

They came with a real mollusk with a pearl. Brody loved his shark tooth one.

Tripp provided some tunes.

Leila got a French braid.

The back porch was popular.

The kids were delighted when Ryan got in the boat.

Headed out to hunt crabs.

The McNeils.

All of us!!!
