catching up

Haven't been blogging for a few days, so hang on. I'll be brief. Here is what has been going on around the homestead. Ed spent last weekend installing a major software conversion for work. He had to go in for some of it but did it mostly at home. Here  he is in the command center.

Here is what the screens looked like. Don't ask me to explain it. I don't speak the language.

My fountain frog is doing well despite the heat.

Here are my nap buddies.

Gave seared scallops a try...was successful.

Decided to take a walk down hallowed halls. Museum? Cathedral? National monument? No , just the Madison CVS front porch leading to the parking lot. Say hallelujah.

Got the family together for August birthdays. Missed you Bryan!
Jan made excellent Shrimp and Grits. It had lots of cheese and was all baked in the oven together. Great for company.

The table.

The cards.

The Merkoskey boys.

Tommy and Lorelei.

Waiting for cake.

Dueling photographers.

Linda, Joe, Parker and Lorelei were here for the Ellis reunion. The 90th!

Mom trying not to get run over.

Things you let grandkids do that you would never let your kids.

Number 1 - light and relight candles to be blown out on a cake that isn't even theirs!!

The birthday guys finally getting a turn. What do you wish for at 29? 59?
