Before I tell you about my new project, here is a cute pic...beautiful girl and grandogs.
Let me try to explain the project. A local design wholesale business has recently opened some retail outlets. One of which is in Renaissance shopping center in Ridgeland. Well Sophie and Paul know some of the designers there and they were looking for a designer to use some of their products in a real setting. They had the perfect space and...a designer...me! So the morning started early with loading up at the store. I had selected the items previously.
Yes that is an ottoman that is the world.
Sophie, Paul and KT were there to meet us.
Started with a blank slate. It is not really green, just looked it in pic.
Ta da! We used S&P's sofa, my old chair in foreground and a few small elements of our own. Everything else is from At West End or AWE as it has come to be known. Check out their website. www.atwestend.com
These pictures Paul took with his phone are good, but you should see the professional pictures Sophie took with their camera equipment. Paul helped with lighting. I will post the link when it is done.
They are both so talented and I love to watch them work together. It is such a loving collaboration. At this point I was just sitting and watching.
They offered us 75% off of any items we wanted to keep. This console did not move from this spot! It is now permanently on display.
You know I can't resist a good fish picture. The next phase of the project will be an interview with me that will be on a blog on their website. As soon as it is done I will put it here.
Ok, next giant project. The sanctuary at Broadmeadow is being painted. I helped select paint along with Sophie and two others. I have been stopping by daily to check on progress. The transformation will be amazing.
You can see the transformation taking place here. The left side is the old colors. All trim will be white and walls gray. I felt like this would be true to the original architect's Greek Revival vision.
And sure enough I pulled out my wedding pictures and guess what.
Same colors we picked. Isn't this fun! That is not Karis as the flower girl. It only looks like her. It is her mom 31 years ago.
I loved seeing your blog of your latest project. I like some of the pieces in the pictures. And to see the church in progress was exciting. Whitney and Karis do look so much alike that it was almost like seeing Karis standing there. Paul and the kitty made a cute welcome. MOM
