Historical gardening

I'm always so proud of my creative girls and their creative guys. Oh and first off Mary Grace and Ryan have made it official! We love him so much and are so happy.

Get ready for wedding plans!

It was interesting that both couples used something old from their family to plant vegetables. Mary Grace and Ryan used my dad's old fishing boat to make a raised bed.

Isn't it cute? It is slightly tilted so it can drain through the plug. No john boats were harmed in the making of this planter.

I especially like the worn spot where he sat to fish.

It looks great by the incredible finished chicken coop. Amazing.

Sophie and Paul used a washtub set that was his great grandmother's. The tubs already had drainage holes too.

Freshly pressure washed patio is gleaming.

How about a couple of pics of Gibbs?

He is so tall...and a bit nosy.

Perfect stir fry

Why was it perfect? I used leftover grilled steak and pork. My pet peeve is the water they inject into meat. When you stir fry it the water comes out and makes a gray mess. This skipped that step and it work great.
