ok, let's just start off with the food...shopping in Flowood has it's perks. One is better stocked stores, Madison shoppers clear the shelves like locusts at our big box stores. Another is Hobby Lobby. They have some of the tackiest merchandise ever, but they have great greenery, floral and natural supplies. Got some great new greenery for Broadmeadow. So the best perk of all is Table 100. Where can you get lunch this good for $10? not to mention a great wine and seasonal drink list.
I know this is the blue plate but they also have great food like seared tuna salad. That sautéed spinach is the best. Candy says it is the best burger anywhere. And don't forget great wait service.
It is getting cold here, very cold. Dupree had to pull his hobbit sweater out of storage.
At our Sunday lunch at Mr. Chen's I saw this interesting fruit.
It's hard to tell but they are much bigger than a grapefruit...probably 8" in diameter. Hardly any one in the store or restaurant speaks much English, so when I asked someone about it , she helpfully told me it was sweet. Of course that is written on the sign in red. Here is what it looked like. It tasted like a sweet grapefruit.
When I shop with the Woolvertons it is already a joke about our height difference. I put on a garment and it is a dress. They put on same garment and it is a shirt. So Lucy decided to be 7 feet tall in these shoes. She did not buy them. Thank goodness. She had to hold on to keep her balance.
More later! Can't wait for family to get here this week!!!!
The highlight of this blog was Dupree, So cute. MOM
