More beach

The sun came up and we breakfasted with our beautiful view.

A walk on the beach revealed we were not the first ones there.

The ocean was very calm.

Shells were abundant.

A man shared his catch with us. Flounder and pompano.

Linda and I found a shady spot by the pool to read.

Water was freezing though

 This was the place.

Dinner at a favorite restaurant. Shipp's Harbour Grill. Had been there with friends on a previous trip.

Grouper Ponchartrain. So so good.

I thought I looked particularly fetching in the orchid from the plate.

These palms were blooming everywhere around the complex. The had some kind of fruit or berry inside. I bet the look spectacular when open.

The next big treat was Whitney drove over for the day! We had shrimp at home for lunch and then we took her back to Shipp's for dinner.

Perfect dirty martini for me.

Whitney took a pretty good pic of the old girls.

Our view as we said good bye to her.

I would have to agree.

Our last supper was what Jan called a snack around. Leftover shrimp, cheese, honey crisp apples and good wine.

We talked and talked until dark.

Reflected on a perfect trip together.

Headed out early to try a breakfast place Jan suggested.

The Ruby Slipper, new in Orange Beach from NOLA.

Oh my, so good.

This was Pig Candy. Bacon with brown sugar.
