It is going to be hard to capture the essence of a wedding shower, but I will try. Five friends worked together to make a beautiful experience for our dear friend and her bride to be daughter, Carly. We have watched each other's children grow up and it is such a pleasure to see them making lives for themselves. Carly and David are getting married at Seaside, so we decided on a beach theme.
They were greeted with this.
Here are several shots of the table.
Loved the silver fish.
Driftwood, sand dollars and fish net
Fruit, macaroons and walnut cheese wafers (which were crazy good)
Cucumber bites, homemade shell chocolates on sand (organic sugar looked just like Gulf Coast sand) and key lime tartlettes with blackberries.
The whole table.
Side table with amazing octopus vase
The drink table.
These bottles had the wedding date painted on. 10-9-15
Ocean punch was a hit with the young ladies in Pam's family
Flavored waters.
And for the not so young ladies...barefoot wine...with a straw!
Shrimp shooters with lemon and Kathy's mom's "pink sauce" . It was similar to Ellis shrimp sauce.
They arrived. We were struck by how much Carly and mom Pam looked
alike.
The hostesses
The presents begin.
A few shots of the crowd.
Priscilla, Pam and Candy enjoying the festivities.
Her two little relatives were so excited about everything and were so well mannered.
The gift bow bouquet takes shape. Although she probably won't need it without a proxy bride.
I loved this one of the little girls.
They kept worrying about the superstition that for every bow you break that means a baby the bride will have.
Sue's beautiful house was the perfect back drop.
This was behind her. I hope they enjoyed the event as much as we enjoyed giving it.
My how lovely!! You girls really know how to plan a party. Sue's house is so interesting. The food was so pretty and the drinks looked interesting too. My I know you are glad it is done and was a success. Thank you for letting me see it. MOM
