Kathy started us off with and aperitif. It is an Italian cocktail used to increase your appetite ( like we needed help with that !). She made it with Aperol ( also an Italian drink ) and champagne. I think it’s called an Aperol Spritz. It was so light and refreshing.
Look at these lovely baby wedge salads.
Table was lovely.
Stuffed shells, baby wedge, focaccia and a super dipping sauce. At the back is steamed carrot and parsnip with herbs. I forgot to take a picture of the Shoney’s strawberry pie. We read Hang the Moon by Jeanette Walls. We all enjoyed it.
Talk about fancy!!! How do you come back to plain old everyday food? Oh, I forgot, you cook fancy every day. I know that. MOM
