This happy, engaged couple stopped by to visit Mamaw during their busy moving / registering for college schedule. So proud of them. The will be at Meridian Community College.
This picture made me very happy. Student ID and schedule.
What is this you may ask. We gathered at Seafood Revolution for our annual Book Club Christmas lunch, where even purses are given special treatment. These little stools are provided for the elegant purses of patrons.
One of the highlights is the gift exchange. This year was special with a couple of gifts coming from overseas trips. This one was from Bev's trip to Ireland. Irish embroidered linen bags.
The food came. This is my catch of the day.
We listen as Kathy describes how these beautiful embroidered bags were woven and sewn by hand in Belarus.
She told us so many things remain the same there as they have been for hundreds of years.
Dessert arrived.
White chocolate bread pudding creme brûlée ( a bit much we thought) and caramel pie (pretty perfect)
Pam warned us to handle this gift carefully and keep upright.
Homemade vanilla!
Jill said her gift came from far away Helena , Arkansas. Great wrapping. Cute little store and go bowl.
The manager caught us raiding the wine cellar.
Here they all are. Mine was a smoked paprika mentioned in a book we read.
Here Sue's beautiful angel print makes itself at home in my foyer.
A little something added to Priscilla's gilded tray. It was a fun day.
Helped Mary Grace get ready for her work department party at her house tomorrow. The house and dogs were scrubbed within an inch of their life. We did the mantel very simply. I'm so into the green and white scheme this year.
Oh what lovely gifts !!! You girls amaze me. You have such a good time. Friends are special. I am glad you keep so many friendships going. MOM
