San Francisco 3

Last night’s dinner spot.

We split a pile of calamari.

Returned to the mechanical museum with a pocketful of quarters.

They had several made of toothpicks by prisoners at San Quentin prison. This was one. For a quarter the Ferris wheel turned.

Waiting on the streetcar. They were so beautiful. The colors represent various cities where they were made. I think this was Birmingham. We rode it home.

We rode this one downtown. I think it is Pittsburgh. Look at the blue of that sky.

How do they keep it do clean and shiny.

I could have ridden all day.

They do still have the old, old ones.

We spotted our destination.

After a lot of walking we settled in to our lunch spot.

I got the cioppino and it was so good. It’s just a mountain of shrimp, prawns, mussels, crab scallops and fish with delicious tomato based broth.

They have these painted sea lions everywhere commemorating 30 years of the sea lions living at Pier 39. This one was in front of our hotel.
