Goodbye sweet Duncan Phyfe sofa. It’s moving on to make room for a new king size bed. I am rehoming it with Jan. It is going to look spectacular. I always loved it. It was the perfect spot for a nap after Thanksgiving dinner.

And goodbye to old headboard. Anybody want it?

Cute snoot.

I think I got a size too small.

Book Club at my house.

Little lambs out for spring.

Made it easy on myself with salads from Freshmarket. I did make the salmon and asparagus.

Are these not the cutest things?

Candy was an honorary guest.

Next project. I adore this new rug. If I was a rug this is how I would look.

Thanks to Ed for assembly.

Sandy was a big help.

Coco wanted nothing to do with it.

Easter.

Sophie and Paul were kind enough to host our Easter lunch. Most of us had not seen it since the renovations.

She set a lovely table.

I brought some old Easter eggs. Some were from Mom and Dad’s travels.

We even needed a kid table. There were 9 of us and my friend Amy2.

What a great variety.

Jan’s pound cake which became strawberry short cake. We had a lot of laughs because Amy brought banana pudding and forgot to put in BANANAS.

A shot of some new things. Sophie did the huge painting.

Such a pretty house.

I got sent home with the forgotten bananas the next day. Made some good bread!

Josh

One of the pet rescues I follow on instagram came to Jackson. They are on a 2 year journey to all the states.

They are the Be like Josh Foundation and they encourage inclusion for people and pets with disabilities. This is Kimberly holding Josh. He has cerebellar hypoplasia. He uses a wheelchair at times.

This dog is Ford. He has the same condition. They were both so happy and sweet.

This is George the Great Pyrenees. He is a normal rescue.

Mary Grace got to hold Kevin.

And this is a sweet little senior named Fran. It was held at a cool pet store in the District called Chipper and Coco.

Point Clear done

This big guy was my neighbor yesterday evening.

Every sunset is beautiful.

Next morning headed to breakfast was a kitty walk. Trash can kitty.

Flowerbed kitty.

Sweet tortie kitty. They just ignore being photographed.

The original lobby.

Built like a fortress.

Legendary breakfast through those doors. I was embarrassed to show y’all my plate.

Main lobby.

Headed home. Overcast.

After a visit to Robert St. John’s Crescent City Grill we headed home. These two were glad to be home. It is funny because they have nicknames at the vet. You know we got them as rescues through our vet clinic. So they call them Lady Belle ( Coco) and Monkey (Sandy), which is what they named them as babies.

Point Clear 5

Last day of convention. We worked really hard but I think they all had fun. It is a very family oriented convention. It reminds me of the ones I went to with Mom and Dad when I was young. Lots for spouses and kids to do.

Almost done. They had these old fashioned phones that you could use to call for a golf cart. We were loading up.

Did I mention the gifts in the bathroom?

Amy had to attend a board meeting so I got lunch by the pool. Canned wine?

So pretty.

The kind and appreciative Executive director gifted us with a spa treatment. This is me in the “Quiet Room”
After my massage. I have never had one. It was so relaxing. Loved it. I told her to focus on tired feet and legs.

After that, time at the pool before cold wind drove us inside. Home tomorrow.

Point Clear 4

It was so cold and windy this evening that they had to move Amy’s well planned backyard cookout / bonfire inside.

Not the bonfire of course. Some brave souls sat outside.

Big ole hot dogs Mom!

It’s lovely here at night.

Look at the live oaks at night.

Another beautiful sunset.

Now this.

Point Clear 3

Many cats live at the Grand. They are fed and taken care of. I only got this one shot so far.

I think they needed a drink to face this session on COVID.

Enjoyed mine. This is my view for 3 days from the command table.

Headed to Fairhope for the afternoon break. They also have lots of kitties.

They were all loving the sun.

Such a cute little town.

Had lunch in this pretty alleyway.

We were starving and finally found some food. Mushroom pasta for me.

Unique petunias.

Bikes were everywhere and available to ride anytime.
