Thanksgiving and such

Missed having Mary Grace to cook our turkey. Ed did a great job though. 

Started with just a few apps. 

We had a small group. Jan, Tommy, Mom, Ed and I! I even used my old bun warmer for the first time. Worked great. 

I’ve gotten a lot of mileage out of those pumpkins. There 

are 6 plates but Amy2 got sick that morning. 

You know what comes after Thanksgiving , right? Got out my old ornaments for the first time in 10 years. I have been using wedding streamers from Sophie and Paul’s wedding.  And now they are on their 10th anniversary trip to Key West.

These came from Jan’s yard. 

Unexpected pocket of fun part 2

Breakfast at the Delta Meat Market. I took this so Ivy could see all that old Pyrex on the top shelves. 

They had 3 trees in the lobby. 

All were beautiful. 

The Nutcracker one was my favorite. 

Went to Peter’s Pottery first then here to McCarty’s. I had to take this picture because we were in one of the poorest communities in the state and all these luxury SUVs were lined up to pay a fortune for pottery. I bought some at Peter’s. Can’t post pic because I left it in Amy’s car. 

Ate lunch in a cute place filled with old stuff. Airport Grocery. 

It was fun. 

Fried mushrooms…

…then tamales buried in chili. 

Now I’m home enjoying my new tshirt. 

Unexpected pocket of fun part 1

Amy has a night dinner meeting in Cleveland tonight. I rode along to keep her company. First stop was Wendy’s. (She hadn’t eaten breakfast)  They were offering a key card for $2 to get free tiny Frostys for a year. We bought 2. Got a tiny PEPPERMINT Frosty. 

You do have to buy something else to get it. Still…

Headed to Indianola first. Amy wanted to go tho the Pecan House for Christmas gifts. But look at all the pecan trees for miles. 

The Crown Restaurant didn’t disappoint. There is catfish under that yummy sauce. 

Beautiful bayous. 

Lovely room at the Cotton House. 

While Amy is working I got to have a burger in my room. 

November rushes by

Poor Ed. The fall leaves drive him nuts. He blows then every day. 

Dogs are a big help with the fire.
