More Christmas

Started off at our house with two tone pigs in a blanket. Left one batch in the oven too long. Opened our gifts and then headed to Jan and Tommy’s for the main event. 

Took very few pics. 

LEO. Loved seeing him. He loved the car I gave him.

Christmas Eve at Sophie and Paul’s. She sets the best tables. 

Ivy and Tripp got to come. 

Everywhere you look there is something lovely.

These were not lemons but a special orange from a friend’s tree. 

We had the usual fried chicken. Surely did miss the Brown side of the family. We all felt the loss of Karen very deeply.

Poor little fish. Deep under ice. They will be fine. 

These two keep going in and out. Can’t stay long.

Ok. Solstice in the dreaded year of 2022. Missing Candy a lot. Some of us gathered.

Thanksgiving and such

Missed having Mary Grace to cook our turkey. Ed did a great job though. 

Started with just a few apps. 

We had a small group. Jan, Tommy, Mom, Ed and I! I even used my old bun warmer for the first time. Worked great. 

I’ve gotten a lot of mileage out of those pumpkins. There 

are 6 plates but Amy2 got sick that morning. 

You know what comes after Thanksgiving , right? Got out my old ornaments for the first time in 10 years. I have been using wedding streamers from Sophie and Paul’s wedding.  And now they are on their 10th anniversary trip to Key West.

Unexpected pocket of fun part 2

Breakfast at the Delta Meat Market. I took this so Ivy could see all that old Pyrex on the top shelves. 

They had 3 trees in the lobby. 

All were beautiful. 

The Nutcracker one was my favorite. 

Went to Peter’s Pottery first then here to McCarty’s. I had to take this picture because we were in one of the poorest communities in the state and all these luxury SUVs were lined up to pay a fortune for pottery. I bought some at Peter’s. Can’t post pic because I left it in Amy’s car. 

Ate lunch in a cute place filled with old stuff. Airport Grocery. 

It was fun. 

Fried mushrooms…

…then tamales buried in chili. 

Now I’m home enjoying my new tshirt.
