Girl trip 3

More talk.

Early sunset.

Ordered our shrimp already cooked from Doc’s.  Delivered to the door.

Ate on the balcony.

Next morning. Lazy morning.

Kathy made a hash brown crust quiche.

Jill made banana nut bread.

A little of all of it. Let’s get on with the day.

Girl trip 2

Ok…googly eyes. You hide and find them all over the condo. If you find them you get to hide them. Silly old ladies.

And…pina colada cake. Thanks Kathy.

Ham and cheese sliders.

Did I mention chicken salad.

A pirate ship came by with booming canon.

Our camp.

View from the most comfy recliner. I’ve been having to take it slow.

Pam relaxing after a full day.

Sick of being sick

Still sick but I must be getting better because I’m getting a little bored. Coco is out in the backyard playing with some poor rodent she caught so she is happy.

Sandy begging for my snack.

My snack. See!?! Told you I am bored. Yikes posting pictures of wheat thins!

I did feel like cooking last night. Ed and I made Carolina style barbecue short ribs. I put sweet potatoes in with the ribs so they slow roasted in all that good juice. Those are cheese grits and fresh green beans.

Rodent killer at rest. See y’all in healthy land.

Memories

Since my sisters were both off at college by the time I was 12, I spent a lot of time with just Mom and I.

This was one of our favorite lunches. It’s hard to remember a time when there were not many Mexican restaurants here, but that’s the way it was. Was drawn to the canned meat aisle to buy something for church food drive. So I saw this and headed down memory lane.

Guess what ! They were as good as I remembered. All I needed was the soap opera, As the World Turns on in the background. This is a memory Mom and I can check out together.
