Nostalgia part 2

We are into boxes of baby clothes. These are some of Sophie’s tiny premie clothes. She was only 4 pounds 11 ounces. It’s hard to get rid of things but if the girls had babies I’m sure they would want new things.

And all the toys they loved so much look so sad and dirty.

And then the handmade things! Mom made the little sleeveless ones on the right. We called them diaper shirts. They looked so cute on babies.

Loved making rompers and dresses out of chintz.

My Uncle Cecil made each girl a doll bed. I put decals on them. This one suffered a rough fate. The kids all persisted in getting IN the beds.

Found my favorite jeans ever. You can’t tell in the picture how tiny and LOW cut they were. All the girls wanted 2 button jeans. The brand to have was BB. Got them at Jack’s Jeans. Coolest place in town. My own little touch at the bottom.

I was happy to find this though. My Mamaw Brown made these for all her granddaughters one Christmas.

She did a pig for me.

Must have been 1974 or so.
