Wedding

Loaded up the Subaru aka the battle wagon and drove to middle of nowhere Louisiana. Rented this cabin at Lake Bruin for all the kids and I. 

Thought we would get to enjoy sitting out here but it was so cold. 

Loved our swamp view. But we enjoyed being piled up inside with chili and talk. 

Chris and Kifer Woolverton. They were so happy. 

Me and my godchildren. All that is missing is Candy. 

So proud of them. 

Jumped in the car and headed home to beat the weather. Look what waited for me. 

Good thing we did. It got icy here. 

My mahonia has never been so loaded with blooms 

And look at these nandina berries. 

My hand for scale. They look like grapes. 

We are all getting excited about Chris’s wedding. New outfits bought. Hope we make it through the snow and ice predicted. 

Got to wear Mamaw Brown’s mink stole to church. Looks like I can wear it to the wedding too. 

X marks the spot. Radiation spot that is. Let’s go. 

Why would anyone go to this much trouble to make stuffed shells? 

This is why. So stinking good.

Mary Grace and Ryan sent flowers on the day of my first radiation consult. 

Look at these lilies 

Life is crazy. One day you are young and healthy and poof…you are in a doctors office wearing sensible shoes. 

I’m going to keep my star word in front of me. 

One of my pleasures. Setting up to arrange flowers. 

Loaded up headed to a party.

It was mild enough that she could seat people outside

Realized I missed posting this altarscape. It was horse apples, regular apples and magnolia cones.

Christmas came. Set the stage 

Punkin chunkin at our house after brunch. 

Once again I took few pictures but the ones I did take were cute. 

Loved the picture Ivy Rose made for me. Second to the right. And pretty pressed flowers from Kathy. 

After Christmas we enjoyed the Merkoskys. 

New Year’s came. 

Decided to set mantel up with our honeymoon treasures from Mexico after Christmas was down. 

I dragged little Chico (not really little at all) all over Mexico.

December Book Club, original version. Here we are at Char. Love these girls!

We enjoyed a visit from Santa at St. Catherine’s Christmas tea. Food was amazing. 

Mary Grace and I enjoyed a shopping day at Highland Village. 

She looks stressed here but she found the perfect little black dress. 

Sitting here in the courtyard brought back many memories. Loved this place in my youth.
