Birthday 37

The birthday girl! I took them to lunch at Bravo. Boy was it good today.

I love their shrimp pasta.

Took home so much.

A wee dessert.

So this happened. That is my blonde dog covered in yuck she rolled in.

I was having people over in a little while and had to deal with this. Coco got in it too but not as bad. Smelled horrible.

And finally , a mushroom.

This was out front. Very dramatic colors.

2025 pool

Did it!  First time at the pool this season. It felt great. Really miss Candy at these times. I can’t imagine how many times we went to a pool together. From taking toddlers to adult time.

Finally some mushrooms.

These tiny lacy looking ones came up in Ed’s pepper pots. They come up overnight and wilt when the sun hits them.

On a rainy day the girls got bored and created another hole in the sofa.

When is my turn?

Just had to show y’all how the rain and sun has helped my flowers.

Caladiums blooming.

 All are happy.

Jade too.

Medea came for a short visit. I got nostalgic and made these muffins I used to make for our kids. Double chocolate cupcakes muffins.

Gardenia

When we had trees cut last year it crashed down on our gardenia bushes.

Well they have roared back to life. Just full of buds.

Brought one in.

Displayed in a vessel by a local potter in her early stage. Circa 1971 in Miss Pell’s art class at Chastain Junior High.

Pedigree

This soup comes with a pedigree.

It’s ancestors were broth from corned beef brisket, chuck roast liquid and remains from Swiss steak gravy. When you start like that you are already headed down flavor road. Leftover veggies from freezer, barley and a browned in the pot round steak left a great flavor.

And tacos for Cinco de Mayo

And dogs for sweetness.

Taking care of business

Headed to Memphis to help out with Linda. Buddy was a welcoming sight.

Damon was there too.

Look at him!

In my bed.

So cute.  Grand nephew.

Perfect breakfast.

Enjoying the back porch.

Madeline (mean) was there.

Resident blue birds.

So beautiful.

Dinner chaos. Big plans for Mr. Plash shrimp.

Turned out great.

Final good night. I will miss him so much.
