View from home. 

Saw a little friend in the garage. 

I was worried he was hurt but he must come for snacks. I shared some Chex mix with him. He was gone that night. 

But Ryan went to pick up dinner and he was back. 

Back to Mayo. It was a rough day but we are really getting some answers now. 

A bad storm came up just as we were leaving Mayo. Cleared up nicely. 

Mellow

I miss the Mellow Mushroom that used to be in Flowood. We were glad to see one right down the street. 

It was just as good as we remembered. 

A stroll on the beach.  

I asked Ed for a photo of pups. 

Excellent decor at Mayo. 

She just went back for a yucky test on nerves and muscles. 

Another day

Forgot to take a picture before we fell on this food like jackals. It was really good from local restaurant. Grilled scallops and cobia. Some good crab soup and honestly the best hush puppies ever. 

Pretty happy now. 

Three sky was beautiful after dinner.

Walked out the front side of the condo.

Hit the beach

Got to take a walk on the beach Saturday evening. The dunes here have more foliage on them than at the Gulf. This plant looked like it had little English peas on it. 

And the sea oats are plentiful. 

The sand here is a little darker and coarser than Gulf Shores. 

This was at about 7:00pm.

Bigger waves too.  Lots of surfers of all types of boards.

Waiting game

So…spent the day resting from the long trip and long day testing. 

Tried out my new robe.  Gift from Amy2. 

Got crazy good biscuits from a little place down the street late this morning. Sausage gravy biscuit and chicken biscuit with fried goat cheese and pepper jelly. Yikes it was good.

These kids played endless Marco Polo this evening. Those were the days. 

Day of lounging and then made tacos. 

Extra Mayo please

Back in the day we stopped at Stuckey’s when traveling. Now there’s Buccee’s. We are headed to Jacksonville Mayo. 

Took us 10 hours to get there, raining all the way. It cleared up by the time we got there. It was beautiful. Stars were out. 

The kind condo owner left roses, drinks and snacks for us. 

After a long morning at the clinic we were all tired. 

Sunny and hot. 

Honeymoon memories

Got tired of my mantel decor. I still had springy pussywillow up there. Took those vases to the attic and took a look around. 

I spotted some items we brought back from our honeymoon in Mexico. 

We brought this clay chihuahua. They were everywhere. And I think it was a requirement that everyone bring home a Mayan calendar in some form. I still love the color and look of this one. 

These items are pretty big. I can remember lugging them home with us through airports. 

Got to go feed Amy2’s cats. Carson.

Popping out all over

This one was so bright that I could see it from the back door even though it was only about 2-3” tall. 

This one popped up out of the log that had the spectacular bracket mushrooms from a few days ago. 

Tiny dime sized batch.
