First fire of the season.

It was a little warm. Tony was panting.

That is some lazy begging.

Paul helped me with new business cards.

Look who came to visit for the weekend.

We all got together for dinner. 8 of us.

Everyone pitched in.

Lucy’s puppy, Gus and Gibbs have torn up Candy’s garden. They love to roll and play in it.

Got to take care of this sweetie while Paul and Sophie were out of town.

Book Club and stuff

Ahhh. Fall Book Club. Bev does fall like no one else!

Her new deck beckoned us first.

Beautiful new floor and railing. So clean and open.

Pork loin stuffed with spinach, garlic, rosemary and apricots. So good!

Everyone looking hungry. We read Pachinko, a book about Korean people living in Japan. Very eye opening. We all enjoyed it.

Dutch Apple pie was the perfect finish.

Things are coming along at the lake house. We found the perfect rug.

Opened the gorgeous new bed.

Look at that natural edge. I’m in love.

Precious chairs freshly recovered.

Cool bar stools.

Floors almost done.

Fake snake that scared me to death.

MG cleaning out as she packs. My paternal grandmother’s picnic basket. Everybody had one.

Her label. Note silverware holder above.

90+

Ok. So there are perks to being over 90.

One is a party every year at St. Catherine’s.

Champagne punch, cake and a Hollywood theme. It for everyone over 90 and there were 93 of them!

It was so cute and they had a great singer who highlighted old songs from movies.

The walk of fame!

There she is. Our star!  There were 2, 100 year olds there too.

Snapped a pic of Mom’s Halloween goblin collection.

Next day met MG, Margaret, David and Ryan at the fair for lunch. Chicken on a stick first. It was so hot (weather) that I couldn’t eat more than this. That’s saying something for me!

Yes, they tried a donut burger. I was not a fan.

Ryan tried a tractor on for size. I could not even have climbed in it.

Work is going on at the Patrick’s new house. They have always wanted to live at Lake Lorman and the opportunity came up.

Lots of tearing out and updating.

Old mantel torn out.

New cool deck rails.

Stopped by Amy’s new office.

Spooky G was at work.

How fun to have an office cat!

He has several favorite spots. He rides to work with her and when she says that it is quitting time, he runs to the door for the ride hone!
